Making Soccer Accessible for Every Player

At DC Soccer Club, we believe every child should have the opportunity to play the game they love, regardless of financial circumstance. Accessibility is a cornerstone of our mission—to create an inclusive, community-based soccer experience that reflects the diversity and spirit of Washington, D.C.

Each year, DC Soccer Club awards more than $250,000 in financial assistance to families across all eight wards of the District, helping ensure that cost is never a barrier to participation. We are proud to support players at every level—from our Tots and Recreational programs to our Select, Travel and Academy teams—so that every child can learn, grow, and belong on the field.

Financial Aid Overview

The DC Soccer Club Financial Aid (FA) request applies to most DCSC programs.
Financial Aid is awarded at the discretion of the
DCSC Financial Aid Committee, which operates independently of our coaching and technical staff. All awards are subject to fund availability.

Approved families receive assistance for one seasonal year (Fall through Summer). You must reapply annually to continue receiving aid.

Please note:

  • Financial Aid cannot be applied retroactively to programs or deposits already paid.
  • Requesting Financial Aid does not register your child for a program—you must complete registration separately.
  • To remain eligible, your family must be in good financial standing with DCSC.

Financial Aid Process

  • The Financial Aid request applies to most programs that offer FA.
  • Requests open each spring (March–April) for the upcoming seasonal year.
  • You may request aid once per seasonal year, unless your financial circumstances change significantly.
  • Requests may be submitted early for pre-approval before tryouts or program registration.
  • There is no obligation to register even if your request is approved.
  • If your financial situation changes mid-year, you may email financialaid@dcsoccerclub.org with updated documentation for reconsideration.
  • Incomplete requests or missing documentation cannot be reviewed.

Through our Financial Aid program, DC Soccer Club continues to uphold its values of Intention, Inclusion, Collaboration, and Community—ensuring every player has access to high-quality soccer experiences and the chance to reach their potential both on and off the field.
