With the FIFA World Cup coming this summer, DC Soccer Club is bringing the excitement to our community by hosting our own World Cup 3v3 Tournament.
The tournament is a fundraiser for the DC Food Project, with all proceeds going to the local nonprofit working to combat child hunger across DC.
This one-day event captures everything we love about the World Cup — the energy, the creativity, the passion, and the pride to represent your country! Teams may be formed of players from
different levels of play—Recreational, Pre-Travel, and Travel—so friends can participate together in a memorable event. Adding to the spirit of the World Cup, DC Soccer Club will hold a live World Cup nation draw to assign each team the country they will represent in the tournament. Teams will compete in fast-paced 3v3 matches that keep the day moving and the fun high – with all teams competing in a group stage and winners advancing to the knockout stage.
The day will be immersed in World Cup spirit, with a festive atmosphere that brings the global game to life — from music to a replica World Cup trophy where championship teams can capture photos and share their moment on social media. Players and families can also take part in a fun SKILLS ZONE fundraiser competition, adding even more energy, excitement, and community connection throughout the event.
Winning teams will take home medals, every participant will receive an official event t-shirt, and a special award will be presented to the team that best displays World Cup spirit through creativity, team pride, and country representation.
The DC Soccer Club World Cup 3v3 Tournament is designed to celebrate soccer, culture, and connection — bringing players together to represent nations, compete with friends, and share in the World Cup spirit right here in our community! .

The DC Soccer Club 3v3 World Cup Tournament proudly serves as a fundraiser for the DC Food Project, with all proceeds from the tournament going to the local nonprofit working to combat child hunger across the District.
Launched in 2018, DC Food Project was created to address what they call “the gap” – the critical hours when school meals are no longer available, including after school and on weekends. This gap impacts tens of thousands of students citywide, with 1 in 5 children in D.C. facing food insecurity.
Through innovative partnerships with schools, DC Food Project increases access to nutritious food for students and their families. Their programs include more than 50 school-based food pantries, a Share Table initiative, and ongoing meal distribution that complements existing school meal programs.
This school year alone, DC Food Project is on track to deliver its 5 millionth meal, supporting over 3,000 pre-identified students across the District. Each month, the organization distributes more than 20,000 pounds of snacks and quick meals to students most in need — strengthening families, schools, and communities through collaboration and volunteer engagement.
By participating in DCSC’s 3v3 World Cup tournament, teams are not only playing for a World Cup title — they’re helping ensure children across DC have reliable access to the food they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
Please see the step-by-step instructions below on how to register as a team (initial registration and payment) and how to register as a player (second step to build roster).
The Coach (or designated parent) registers the team and pays on behalf of the team, coordinating P2P payments with the other families. The registering coach will receive a “Team Code” to send to their players who will then register using their unique Team Code and be rostered to their team.
The registration link is the same for coaches and players, but the process is different.
