In partnership with CareFirst, the clinic brings U9–U14 girls together for a professionally led training experience with licensed female coaches, along with exclusive early access for DCSC players and a connection to the professional game.

Washington, DC — Building on their partnership announced in April, DC Soccer Club and the Washington Spirit are teaming up for a youth soccer clinic on SUNDAY, June 28, at The Fields at RFK Campus. Designed to connect player development with inspiration from the professional game, the clinic offers girls a unique opportunity to train in a high-quality, supportive environment while engaging directly with Washington Spirit players.
As part of this collaboration, DC Soccer Club players will receive early access to registration for this limited-capacity event, ahead of public registration opening on May 18. The clinic will include technical and tactical small-group training, with players grouped appropriately based on playing and developmental experience. Toward the end of the session, participants will have the opportunity to spend time with Washington Spirit players for a Q&A, photos and autographs.
This joint clinic continues a shared commitment between DC Soccer Club and the Washington Spirit to grow the game for girls and create visible, accessible pathways in soccer. Research shows that girls leave sports at higher rates than boys by early adolescence, while those who remain engaged in sports demonstrate higher levels of self-esteem, confidence, and leadership. Clinics like this play an important role in expanding access and creating environments where girls can stay engaged, build confidence, and continue developing both on and off the field.

Open to girls across the region, the clinic is designed to foster a strong sense of belonging in the game, with training led by experienced female coaches and opportunities to engage with Washington Spirit players who serve as visible role models. The experience is both developmental and inspiring, encouraging girls to build confidence and continue pursuing their soccer journey.
"We're excited to be running this event exclusively with the Spirit for the second year running," said DCSC Director of Soccer Matt Arrington. "We are deeply grateful to the Spirit organization and the players and staff involved for working alongside DCSC to make this event a success."
