Preparing Our Players for the Next Level
DC Soccer Club is dedicated to helping our high school student-athletes and their families navigate the path toward college soccer. Our goal is to equip every player with the knowledge, guidance, and confidence to make informed decisions about their collegiate journey—both on and off the field.
Through this resource hub, families will find curated materials from our experienced coaching staff and college advisors, including documents, videos, and external links that explain how the recruiting process works, what college coaches look for, and how to communicate effectively with schools of interest.
Events & Opportunities
Throughout the year, DC Soccer Club provides college preparation events designed to educate, inspire, and connect players with college programs.
These have included:
- Guest College Coaches at Training Sessions – Hands-on opportunities for players to learn directly from visiting college coaches during select practices.
- College Prep Nights – In-person events for players and parents to understand the recruiting landscape, timelines, and expectations.
- Virtual Seminars and Q&A Panels – Online sessions featuring college coaches and staff discussing topics such as recruiting communication, NCAA eligibility, and balancing academics with athletics.
- Individual Guidance – Players are encouraged to reach out to their Age Group Director or team coach for personalized advice about next steps.

As DCSC’s Technical Director, Edu de Souza brings a wealth of experience from every level of the game—youth, high school, college, and professional. His teams have earned honors as Virginia State Cup Champions, EDP Champions, US National League Champions, and US Youth Soccer National Championship Finalists.
Edu’s collegiate coaching background and success in player development make him an invaluable resource for families navigating the recruiting process. He oversees the club’s college-preparation initiatives, collaborates with high school Age Group Directors, and ensures that players receive clear, actionable guidance toward their collegiate goals.
