FINANCIAL AID

The DC Soccer Club Financial Aid (FA) Application applies to most DC Soccer Club programs. FA is awarded at the discretion of DC Soccer Club's Financial Aid Committee which does not include coaches or technical staff, and subject to availability.

FA cannot be applied retroactively. Meaning you can not register and then if approved, asked to apply the FA offer to previously registered programs. This includes Travel Programs or program where you are invited to a team. When you accept a spot and make a payment, that's when it's considered as registered to the program. You can not apply FA offer to future installment payments nor previously paid amount.

You must be in good financial standing with DCSC. Regular outstanding balance can disqualify for your future aid.

Applying for FA does not automatically register your child(ren) to a program. You must register to a specific program separately.

  • Application usually opens in Spring for the upcoming season (e.g. opens in April/May 2025 for 2025-2026 season)
  • We encourage you to apply early to get FA pre-approved
  • You can only apply once per soccer season
  • If your circumstances have changed within a year, you can send an email to financialaid@dcsoccerclub.org with a request and supporting documents for your FA offer to be reconsidered.
  • If you qualify, you are approved for one soccer season depending on the fund availability. E.g. apply in Spring 2025 for programs that runs in Fall 2025, Winter 2026, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026.
  • There are two FA - Travel FA and General FA - which has different eligibility, but you only have to request once for both. Travel FA is for the Travel Programs (Academy, Travel and Select)

Financial Aid Application Steps:

1. Complete the online application and provide one of the following approved documents for review. All documentation submitted is kept in confidence. Improper documentation can result in review delay and/or denying the request.

  • A most recent Free or Reduced Lunch eligibility letter. If Title One school, please submit enrollment letter from school. Must have player's name, Date of the Letter/School Year, school name.
  • Most recent U.S. Individual Income Tax Return (1040 Form - only pages 1-2) that was filed with the IRS for the household that claims the player(s) as a dependent(s). Please black out ALL Social Security Numbers including your child(ren)'s SSN and SSN on top of the second page. 1040 must have signature(s).

2. You will be notified via email within 5 business days - please check your junk/spam folder. Email will contain further instructions if you qualify. If there are extenuating circumstances not well reflected in the financial aid documentation, please submit the online application and send additional information by email to financialaid@dcsoccerclub.org.

In order to register, you will need to have a Playmetrics account. Once you have an account, you can request Financial Aid on Playmetrics by navigating to Club Programs > Financial Aid.

Please make sure you list all of your family members.

Create Playmetrics Account

1) CREATE ACCOUNT: Click here to create your family account on Playmetrics.
2) VERIFY ACCOUNT: Once you create an account, you will be sent an email to verify your account. Click the “Verify Account” link in the email. You will then be prompted to enter your name and phone number. Please enter your phone number to allow you to receive program/team communication via SMS, and for password resets.
3) ADD PLAYERS: After verifying your account, you will be prompted to add players into the account. Please add all family members that may now or in the future be registered with DC Soccer Club or DCSC Brookland. Enter each player’s name and correct date of birth. If the parent or guardian would register for any of our future adult programs or as a volunteer, they should also be added as a “player” with the correct date of birth. Note: Program registrations are based on date of birth, so only players in your account that are eligible will appear during registration.
4) DOWNLOAD THE APP: Download the mobile Playmetrics app on iOS and/or Android. This allows you to access everything from the convenience of your phone at all times. Playmetrics was built to be used on your mobile device.
5) SET COMMUNICATION SETTINGS: Now that your account is created, you can set how you receive emails, SMS text messages, and push notifications via the mobile app. When you're logged into your account on mobile, simply tap "Player Contact" in the upper left-hand corner, then tap "Account”, and then tap "Settings.” Here you can change your communication preferences by checking and unchecking the appropriate boxes based on the notifications you would like to receive. We are asking all families to check the SMS box so you may receive a text alert of important notes, such as inclement weather, when urgency is needed.
6) ADD CONTACTS: Please add any family members that would need access to your player’s schedule/account.
