WASHINGTON, D.C. – Ikraam Nguo, a striker for the DC Soccer Club U14 Blue Metros, recently traveled to Orlando, Florida for the Olympic Development Program (ODP) Interregional tournament from January 24-28, 2024. Ikraam is a member of the Maryland ODP team and ODP East Regional Team and played right back during the tournament. The East Regional Team performed well during the tournament- tying 1-1 with the West Region, defeating the Midwest Region 5-1, and tying 2-2 with the South Region.

This is Ikraam’s second year with ODP. The program is designed to find and train the best soccer players in the country and promote them to the US Olympic and National Soccer Teams.  

Ikraam said, “I had a good learning experience and was exposed to a professional environment and sports psychology lecture. My East Region teammates and I enjoyed playing against comparative players from the West, Midwest, and South regions.”
