DC Soccer Club Welcomes 2023 Board of Directors

DC Soccer Club has its slate for the Board of Directors. The Board hosts a number of new and returning members for the year 2023.

WASHINGTON- DC Soccer Club’s new Board of Directors comprises new and returning members for 2023. The vote occurred at the monthly Board of Directors meeting on Tuesday, January 10th.

The current Board of Directors is comprised of four officers and five members. For 2023, Zainab Schwartz returns as the Chair of the Board, with the new Vice Chair being Dave Wakeman. Giles Coates and Erin Harcourt will serve as the Treasurer and Secretary of the board, respectively. The five members of the Board are as follows: Chris Bell, Dawn O'Connell, Tori Robinson, Michael Sriqui, and Ken Clarke.

The Board of Directors guides DC Soccer Club with governance and oversight over the club’s office staff, soccer education programs, and technical programs for children and families in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The Board members also volunteer their time to serve on the Board and Advisory committees, including, Audit, Risk, Executive, and Nominating committees. These committees pertain to the goals and missions of the DC Soccer Club. The Board is typically composed of seven to fifteen officers and members who are considered voting members. The Executive Director of DC Soccer Club, Greg Andrulis, serves the board as a non-voting, ex officio member. 

Board Chair, Zainab Schwartz said, “I am so excited and honored once again to be part of the DC Soccer Club Board of Directors, as its Chairperson. Dave Wakeman, an expert sports marketing consultant, will be our Vice Chair. Giles Coates, a transformative financial expert, will be our Treasurer, and Erin Harcourt, a small business owner of an afterschool enrichment program, will be our Secretary. I am also joined again by Dr. Tori Robinson, Dawn O’Connell, Christopher Bell J.D., Michael Sriqui, and Ken Clarke. We have such a great team supporting Executive Director, Greg Andrulis, who has made some very important changes to set the club up for future growth and success. This year we have key milestones to achieve upon executing our strategic plan including, increasing our market presence, enhancing our field options, and getting more competitive. I am more thrilled than ever to be part of the greater DCSC family and can’t wait to see it grow and thrive for our kids and the communities we serve.”
