DC Soccer Club Director of Tournament and Events Nick Papadis and Director of Operations Michelle Alioto Receive their US Soccer B Licenses.

WASHINGTON- Two DC Soccer Club staff members obtained new coaching licenses. Nick Papadis, Director of Tournaments and Events, and Michelle Alioto, Director of Operations, have earned their US Soccer B Licenses.

Both received their US Soccer B licenses out of Columbia, MD last month. The B License course is designed to introduce coaching concepts for older age groups, specifically for players aged 16 to college. At this level, coaches learn to develop game plans and training sessions appropriate for the elevated level of play.

Papadis and Alioto serve DC Soccer Club on the full-time staff as directors and coaches. Papadis coaches Girls U13 and U14 Red Metros for DC Soccer Club. Alioto is bringing her B License knowledge of coaching into her new role as Director of Operations with the club.

Papadis said, “Taking the US Soccer B License was a very rewarding experience! I'd like to thank DC Soccer Club, players, and their families, who were extremely helpful and supportive throughout the course. I look forward to applying the knowledge and experience I gained on the field.”

Alioto said, “I am appreciative of the opportunity to continue my development as a coach and as a student of the game. Pursuing this level of education is a big commitment, and I thoroughly enjoyed the process of learning from top-notch instructors and great coaches. As a female coach, I am also thankful for the Jill Ellis Scholarship which helped support my candidacy and encourages more women to pursue their passion for coaching soccer and leading the next generation of players."

“DC Soccer Club is fortunate to have qualified coaches on the staff. We are proud of coach Alioto and coach Papadis for their accomplishments” said Technical Director Edu de Souza. “Coaching Education is one of the priorities for the club. It is our belief that lifelong learners will achieve their goals for the future.”
