DC Soccer Club, D.C.’s largest youth soccer organization, has hired Eduardo de Souza as Technical Director.
Eduardo de Souza brings international and national coaching success to DC Soccer Club. He has experience at every level of the sport, having coached at the youth, high school, college, and professional levels. His years of producing championship teams have been the hallmark of his career, winning championships at every level. His teams were recognized as the Virginia State Cup Champions, EDP Champions, US National League Champions, and US Youth Soccer National Championship Finalists. The same team was recognized as the US Soccer Standout Team of the Decade. De Souza’s most recent team is the 2022 ECNL Regional Champion. De Souza also served as the Academy Director for the Schultz Academy and won the US Soccer Development Academy National Championship, Super Y League National Championships, and multiple Disney Showcase Championships. A native of Porto Alegre, Brazil, de Souza and his wife, Larissa, have a daughter, Livia, and a son, Luca. To see more of de Souza’s accomplishments, please click here.
De Souza holds the Brazilian CBF A License and his US Soccer B License. As Technical Director, de Souza will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supervising player and coach development programs. He will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the DC Soccer coach development curriculum, the player development training programs, and the associated administrative responsibilities of those programs. Working closely with our coaches and staff, and in concert with our Senior Technical Development Department, De Souza will help formulate and implement a strategic growth plan for the DC Soccer Club with a particular focus on the development and implementation of the DC Soccer Club - Player Development Program. De Souza will provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to all coaches and players within the club.
