U.S. Soccer A License, Youth Recreation Specialist Jane Dawber, will join the DC Soccer Club as Director of Recreation, Youth Player Development

DC Soccer Club has hired Jane Dawber as the Director of Recreation, Youth Player Development.

DC Soccer Club, D.C.’s largest youth soccer organization, has hired a new Director to their full-time staff. The club is bringing in Jane Dawber as the Director of Recreation, Youth Player Development

Jane Dawber has over 20 years of experience, specifically in youth soccer environments. She also possesses over 20 licenses and certifications, including a US Soccer A License. Dawber has worked in large soccer clubs around the DMV building programs to specialize in player development and providing players of all abilities pathways to reach their maximum potential. By focusing on program growth, Dawber has been able to put her USSF A and UEFA B licenses to good use. 

In addition to overseeing the Recreation Program, Dawber will be a crucial component of our Youth Development process. Dawber has distinguished herself in Youth Development with innovative and progressive programming. Over the years, Dawber’s strengths as a program director have garnered national recognition from the United Soccer Coaches organization. She was awarded for implementing the best youth program of the year. When she is not on the soccer field, Jane enjoys playing tennis and loves hiking outdoors or visiting new countries.

Dawber says, “I am honored to be part of the staff at D.C. Soccer Club and to be surrounded by many amazing players, families, and coaches. I look forward to building on the great foundation D.C Soccer has created and getting to know the families that make this club so special.”

Executive Director Greg Andrulis said, “Jane is the right person at the right time to join our club as the Director of Recreation, Youth Player Development. Jane is a true leader in the field of developing innovative youth programming. As a compassionate and enthusiastic promoter of the Recreation program, our players, coaches, volunteers, and Age Group Coordinators will all benefit from Jane's leadership and collaborative style. We are so excited to have Jane join the DC Soccer Club team.” 

Lula Bauer, Women and Girls in Soccer (WAGS is an organization aimed at empowering women and girls through soccer), Chairwomen stated; “Jane’s commitment to player development has made her a well-respected leader in the soccer community. It is exciting to see a female in a  Senior Level Director position. Congratulations and well deserved.”
