Former MLS Coach of the Year to Lead DC Soccer Club

WASHINGTON - The Board of Directors of DC Soccer Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Andrulis as Executive Director of DC Soccer Club, effective June 1, 2022. 

Greg has a long and distinguished soccer career. Greg coached Division I men’s programs at Clemson and George Mason Universities, as well as in Major League Soccer as the head coach of the Columbus Crew, during which time he was awarded MLS Coach of the Year. Most recently Greg was Executive Director at Herndon Youth Soccer. He also serves as a Talent ID Scout for U.S. Soccer.

“We are thrilled to bring such a high caliber of soccer expertise and experience as Greg’s to the Club. It is a fantastic opportunity for our Club to grow and thrive,” stated Board Chair Zainab Schwartz.

At DC Soccer Greg is excited to channel his passion for the beautiful game and his business savvy to support over 6,000 youth from around the District to enjoy high quality and competitive soccer programs. “I am grateful for the opportunity to lead DC Soccer Club, an organization deeply committed to the development of young people both on and off the field. The Club has an incredible history and I am excited to work with an amazing team to ensure that we continue to build upon success achieved. I look forward to what we can build together moving forward.” DC Soccer Club’s Technical Director Khaled Hamami added, “Greg’s focus on player development and high-quality offerings is completely aligned with our Club’s values. We welcome his experience and leadership to add value to our programs.”

DC Soccer Club (formerly “DC Stoddert Soccer”) founded in 1977, has a long history and strong ties to the DC community. The Club is committed to creating an inclusive community for players of all ages, levels and backgrounds to build technical soccer skills in a competitive, fun and supportive environment. DC Soccer is a 501(c) non-profit organization in Washington, DC, serving more than 6,000 youth soccer players across Recreational, Travel and related supplemental programs, and provides an estimated $200,000 per year in financial assistance to ensure no players are excluded due to economic hardship.
