Quentin Folds, a current player on DC Stoddert’s U17 Red Travel Team, has made it to the semi-finals of the Football for Friendship eWorld Championship with his team “Bearded Vulture”.

Football for Friendship is an annual International Children’s Social Program implemented by Gazprom in 2013 and supported by FIFA, UEFA and the United Nations. The aim of the program is to foster important values in youth, promote a healthy lifestyle and mutual respect of different nationalities and cultures, and support the development of youth in sports.

Players in this program take part in the annual International Football for Friendship Children’s Forum, Football for Friendship World Championship, and the International Day of Football and Friendship. Over the last eight seasons, more than 15,000 players from 211 countries and regions have taken part in the program.

In the Football for Friendship eWorld Championship, players are placed on one of thirty-two teams in an online football simulation game Football for Friendship World. Each team participating in the finals is made up of six players with different nationalities. In 2020, Football for Friendship took place for the first time in an online format. This year’s Football for Friendship eWorld Championship is again being held in a digital format on the simulator Football for Friendship World.

In the World Championship, Folds is a member of Team Bearded Vulture. He has won 28 of 62 games with 130 goals scored. His team includes players from Aruba, Ecuador, Peru, Guatemala, and Panama.

In the quarter-finals, Bearded Vulture won against Team Manul with a score of 1 to -0.5. Now in the semi-finals, Bearded Vulture will play against Argali to determine who moves on to the finals. The winner of this match will compete against the winner of the semi-finals match between Team Crested Ibis and Team Stoat.

The semi-final and final will take place on May 29th. You can watch it here:
