WASHINGTON - Alex Minton, DC Stoddert’s Program Director, has announced his departure from the club. Minton served as the program director for the Tots and Future Stars and the All-Stars programs for the past two years in addition to creating after school programming and school partnerships. Minton will be leaving the DC Area as his family moves to Idaho.

In his time at DC Stoddert, Minton has bolstered DC Stoddert’s programs for players ages 3-6. He has worked with parents and coaches to develop these programs to give young players the optimal ability to grow in their soccer and interpersonal skills and develop their love and passion for the game. Minton also launched DC Stoddert’s All-Star Program, a hybrid of the Recreational and Travel Programs.

“I would like to thank all of the parents and players for allowing me to share my passion of teaching the game of soccer to the youth,” said Minton. “I wish the club, staff, coaches, parents and players a bright future! Keep living the dream.”

Jennifer Gootman, DC Stoddert’s executive director, said “Alex played a key role in the development of new programs for DC Stoddert and will be missed by the DC Stoddert community.”

“By improving the programs for the younger age groups, Alex improved the pathway for players for many years to come,” said DC Stoddert Technical Director, Khaled Hamami.

The Tots, Future Stars, and All-Stars programming will now be carried on under the direction of Khaled Hamami.

Please join DC Stoddert in thanking Alex and wishing him and his family the best!
