DC Stoddert is now open again for summer camp! Soccer may look a little different right now, as we return to the field under new health protocols, but that shouldn’t stop us from enjoying summer!

Summer camp is open to boys and girls ages 7-13 (2nd-8th grade) and all levels of soccer experience, including Travel, Rec, and All-Star players. We are providing week-long-camps with professional coaching that run for six weeks from the Week of June 29th until the week of August 3rd. The camp consists of a morning session that runs from 9 am - 12 pm and an afternoon session that runs from 1 pm - 4 pm. The camp will be held at Washington Episcopal School (WES) or Westland Middle School.

This past week at summer camp, we had a great turnout! We had a total of 40 players in the morning session and 30 players in the afternoon session. The players engaged in a variety of fun activities while further developing their fundamental ball skills. Our coaches worked hard to creatively cultivate new curricula for summer camp to maintain players’ safety and social distancing guidelines. Activities were done in small groups and coaches focussed on skills such as fast footwork, ball mastery, technique, and shooting for power and accuracy.

In this session, DC Stoddert followed the advice and directives of national, state, and local officials as well as guidance from health and medical authorities to provide a safe return to play. In this first week of camp, all coaches and staff wore masks, coaches and players maintained social distancing at all times, equipment was cleaned before sessions and hand sanitizer was available, and entry and exit areas were designated to ensure that the flow of people was organized and limited. More details on our Return to Play Guidelines for summer camp can be found here for parents, players, and coaches.

Registration is limited! If you would like to still register for camp, the link can be found here.
