Nabayee Tesfu

Raised locally in Bethesda, Maryland, Nabayee Tesfu grew up playing soccer in the DC Metro Area. In his youth career, he played for Real Maryland, BNC Revolution, and Walter Johnson High School before going on to play at Frostburg State. He was captain, top goalscorer, 2nd team All-State and Honorable mention All-Gazette his senior year at Walter Johnson. At Frostburg State, Tesfu was awarded Offensive Player of the Year and had the most goals in the 2014 season. He previously coached at World Class Premier. He was most recently a volunteer assistant coach at the University District of Columbia for the 2022 Fall Season.

Tesfu currently holds his US Soccer ‘C’ License and is looking to pursue his ‘B’ License. Tesfu enjoys listening to podcasts and watching the Premier League when he’s not on the field. He is currently coaching DC Soccer Club's Boys U9 and U10 Red teams.
