DC Soccer Club has several teams in each age group that compete at various levels in different leagues based on their development. We hold our club tryouts and ID sessions in the spring prior to the travel season which begins in fall (mid-August) and runs through the following spring (mid-June). Travel teams are typically formed at the end of May after players are selected and invited during the tryout process throughout the spring. We first hold ID sessions for our top Academy teams beginning in March, and then our club tryouts for all travel and select level teams beginning in April. The majority of our travel players will attend the club tryouts for selection to be placed on our travel or select teams.
Please see the tabs above for registration, FAQs, info on travel fees, and the tryout schedules.
All players interested in applying for Financial Aid for the 2025-2026 Travel Season should apply as soon as possible before or during the tryout process and before accepting invitations to a team: https://www.dcsoccerclub.org/resources-financial-aid
CLUB TRYOUTS
Tryout information and registration for rising U8-U19 teams will be announced soon – (all rising U8-U10 level travel players and rising U11-U19 red/white/silver/Brookland/Petworth level travel players). These tryouts will begin in April and we will post information as soon as possible.
ECNL ID SESSIONS
The top teams in the U11-U19 age groups are our Academy level teams that compete in Pre-ECNL (U11-U12) and ECNL Regional League (U13-U19). For the 2025-2026 travel season, ID Sessions are held at various points in the year for interested players, and in the spring will have a couple ID Sessions in March and again in April. ECNL level teams will be formed beginning in April and run through May, along with all other travel level teams. Please note during March ECNL ID Sessions, ECNL teams will not be immediately formed. ID Sessions are used as an opportunity for staff to identify and evaluate talent both internally (current DCSC players) and externally (players from outside clubs who are interested in playing for DCSC). Therefore, players should not expect communication about offers, roster spots, playing level, team formation, etc. at the conclusion of an ID Session. Our club will continue to host ID Sessions in the spring to work through the identification process when forming teams.
