Ann Germain

Ann Germain hails from Arlington, VA, and has a lifetime of soccer experience, both coaching, and playing. She competed on the original McLean Grasshoppers team during the inaugural season of the WAGSL. In high school, she was an All-Met player who captained her team for three years. She went to the University of Virginia. At the time, the school had no women's soccer team, so she played field hockey and lacrosse.

Germain was selected for the first USWNT in 1984. She went on to play in the team's first international competitions in 1985 and 1986. After this, Germain went on to win the 1986 Open Cup, three over-30 cups, and an over-40 cup. She has been a WAGS coach for over 25 years. For DC Soccer Club, she coaches the GU9 and GU10 Blue Metros.
