I'm new to D.C. What program should I sign up for?
Welcome to D.C. and to DC Soccer Club! We are happy to help you find the right program for your family. Please check out our program information page for a quick overview of all our programs and learn when and how to sign up.

Where are when do teams practice?
This information will depend on which program your player is participating in. DC Soccer Club partners with a variety of private and public schools and agencies to reserve athletic fields for recreational soccer training sessions and match play. These respective parks and facilities are spread across the District of Columbia and areas of Montgomery County (MD). Recreational team practices are arranged by coaches. Information pertaining to where and when your child's team will practice will be coordinated by the Coach and/or Team Manager. Practice and game information will not be known until the schedule has been released a few weeks before the start of the season.

What are the differences between Recreational and Travel Soccer?
Recreational Soccer is designed for players who are just learning the game, as well as those who prefer a less competitive environment focused on fun and development. It is volunteer-driven, led by parent coaches and volunteer Age Group Commissioners, who generously offer their time in service to our kids and the soccer community. Teams typically practice once a week and have one game on Saturday. Games and practices are all local and held at facilities spread across the District of Columbia and areas of Montgomery County (MD).

Travel Soccer is geared toward players who have the desire to develop their abilities in order to play at the highest competitive level possible, including those whose goal is to play for their high schools, colleges, and at the professional level. Players in the Travel program receive guided practice and coaching instruction from professional, nationally-licensed coaches. Travel tryouts are held in May for the next season. A commitment to play for a Travel team is a commitment for the entirety of the school year.

The Pre-Travel Academy (PTA) serves as a bridge program between recreational soccer and travel soccer, specifically for U6, U7, and U8. DC Soccer Club's Accelerated Development Program (ADP) is the club’s middle tier of game-based programming for 3rd through 6th graders.

How do I sign up for a program?
It’s quick and easy! Click the red registration button located on the page of the program you want to sign up for.

1) After reading the program information you will see a blue button at the very bottom. If you see sign in/create an account - Sign in to your existing SportsEngine account, or create a new SportsEngine account if you don't have one already.

2) Select an athlete profile to register or select register a new athlete if you don't see that profile listed.

3) Enter all required fields on the Registration session.

4) Submit payment (if required) and click complete registration. After completing the registration, you will receive an email confirmation and receipt.

NOTE: To register another athlete's profile, click Register Another Athlete on the review page of the registration.

Are refunds available?
Each program has a separate refund policy. You are responsible for knowing the refund policy before you register. If you would like to request a refund please email the Club Registrar - carahilliard@dcsoccerclub.org.

Where can I see my players schedule?
Once your player has been rostered to a team and the rosters have been made public, you will be able to download the Sports Engine app. Once you download the app you will log in with the same email/password you used to register with. The app will automatically have the team added to your account and you can view the schedule and can communicate with the team.

I'm in the Playmetrics app, but I can't see a team or schedule?
1) Rosters may not be live yet, and depending on the program, you may not have access to the roster. Typically you can see the team/schedule about 1-2 weeks before the session or season starts. 2) You are not logged in with the same email/password you used to register with. If you didn't register the player, but still would like access to the schedule the account that completed the registration will need to add you as a primary contact.

I have a question about the program I signed up for, who do I contact?
We have a point of contact for all of our programs here at DCSC. For a list of program directors please click HERE. Email is preferred. If you are on a Travel or Rec team, it is preferred that you first reach out to your coach or team manager with questions.
