The boys and girls High School age groups offer a variety of opportunities to help further players' soccer careers. Some recent activities have included Age Group Training Sessions, a College Preparedness Presentation, and the DC Soccer Club Showcase. Be sure to check back for upcoming programs and pictures from previous events.
College Prep Nights - DC Soccer Club holds multiple events per year to help prepare its players for the collegiate level. These events are centered around the recruiting process and how players should go about contacting coaches. The sessions are led by the High School Age Group Directors who are both coaches at the collegiate level.
DC Soccer Club ID Clinic - DC Soccer Club holds an annual ID Clinic of its High School Age Group, with multiple college coaches in attendance. The sessions are designed to engage the club's players while also getting them exposure to Division I, II, and III programs in the area.
Matt Badiee has been involved in soccer for over 40 years as a player and coach. Badiee played on teams in Iran, Germany, and The United States as a player. He is still an active player in the 40+ NVSL. His coaching experience includes time coaching for the Northern Virginia Majestics Women's Professional Soccer League, Northern Virginia Royals, Loudoun United (DC United's Affiliate), the Olympic Development Program, and serving as a US Soccer Scout for the U-18 Men’s National Team.
Badiee has experience coaching for youth clubs, as well as serving in administrative roles where he has seen success at the helm of state and regional championship teams. Badiee has over 10 licenses and certifications including his US Soccer A License and national licenses from Germany, Holland, and Brazil, an UEFA (Union European Football Associations) A license, and his Academy Director license.
Badiee coaches the U17, GU9, GU10, GU15, and GU17-18 Blue Metros for DC Soccer Club and serves as the club's Travel Director and Director of Education.
Travis Beauchamp is a native Virginian and played soccer at Washington College in Maryland. There he earned All-Conference honors three times and All-region honors. He is also a member of the Washington College and Christchurch School Hall of Fame.
Beauchamp has 20 total years of coaching experience which includes assistant coaching at the US Merchant Marine Academy, assistant coaching at Washington College, and is now the Head Coach of the men’s soccer team at Catholic University. As the Head Coach at Catholic, Beauchamp has 127 wins, three conference championships, and four NCAA Tournament appearances, and has twice been named Conference Coach of the Year. He currently holds his United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Diploma and US Soccer ‘C’ Coaching License. Beauchamp coaches DC Soccer Club's the Boys 2004 and 2005 Blue Metros and the Boys 2007 Blue Metros HS AGD.
